SAN ANTONIO, TX, August 4, 2015– Danny Fraley, Chief Clinical Officer of Acuity Hospital of South Texas (AHST) has been nominated for the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Circle of Excellence award. The AACN Circle of Excellence award recognizes and showcases excellent outcomes by individuals in the care of critically ill patients and their families. This award aligns with the AACN vision of a healthcare system driven by the needs of patients and families in which high acuity and critical care nurses make their optimal contributions, and recognizes achievements in promoting patient-driven excellence, modeling standards for healthy work environments, and contributing to the leadership of others.

“I am honored to be nominated for this prestigious award. This could not have been achieved without the endless support of our clinical directors and frontline staff,” said Fraley. “I am excited to be an ambassador for the employees of Acuity Hospital of South Texas as they continue to demonstrate excellent care.”

The AACN Awards Review Panel will review nominations and make their selections by the end of 2015. Recipients will be recognized at the 2016 National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition in New Orleans, May 15-19, 2016. Recipients will also become permanent members of the Circle of Excellence Society – a network of experts who continually generate innovation and excellence.
